The designers then had to make use of their experience in the “jungle” as inspiration to create a streetwear look for the “urban jungle.” Here is a rundown of the bottom and top looks from Project Runway season 15 episode 7.
Eliminated Look
Brik’s look for Project Runway season 15 episode 7 was kinda similar to his previous two looks that landed him in the bottom in the past. The Project Runway judges could not get what he was trying to say with this design. Although his fabrics combination looked good and his garment well-constructed, but it still wasn’t enough to save Brik this week, seeing that the competition is getting so serious.
Top Looks
Dexter
The Project Runway Judges were mixed on Dexter’s look on this episode of Project Runway season 51. But his scores were still big enough to put him on the top, so that’s good. While Nina thought his look was bold and interesting, Zac said it was derivative and boring. This was an uncomfortable runway critique for Dexter, but at least his look wasn’t eliminated, and he now knows that he needs to push himself more so as to impress the judges.
Nathalia’s look for Project Runway season 15 episode 7 was a nice rebound from her spot in the bottom. Since streetwear is her specialty as a designer, her look for this episode was effortlessly good. The Project Runway judges also loved the fact that her look was effortlessly chic and even applauded her “bat” jacket.
Winning Look
Laurence
Laurence’s look was the winning look for Project Runway season 15 episode 7. She knocked the challenge out of the park with just another unique and beautiful leather jacket. Although her drop-crotch pants weren’t so perfect, but her craftsmanship with the leather makes up for that. I think Laurence is an amazing designer, as she keeps designing leather jackets and has not repeated any ideas in her designs.
